Description:

The Indigenous Committee on Climate Change (CIMC) is composed of Indigenous experts led by Sineia do Vale. Each member represents one of Brazil’s major ethno-regions and is responsible for developing strategies and implementing concrete actions in their territories. While mitigation remains essential to addressing the climate crisis, many adaptation initiatives are already underway autonomously within traditional lands. This interactive dialogue seeks to highlight how the CIMC is addressing climate impacts by bridging multiple sciences.
