Accessbility Updates
Accessibility
Accessibility of events at the Indigenous Peoples Pavilion is important to us. We will be able to provide more detailed information about accessibility of both the venue and virtual participation after the COP26 commences on 1st November 2021. Please follow updates on this website for the latest accessibility information, and if you have any specific queries, please contact us directly.
Location
The Pavilion will take place in Events Hall D. There is level entry to the Pavilion from the main floor. Inside the pavilion, seating is available and is spaced to maintain physical distancing for COVID-19 safety. There is a small podium for speakers. The podium has a small step and is also accessible by ramp. There will be Spanish language interpretation for many events, using a headset available on entry into the Pavilion.
Virtual Attendance
For those attending sessions online, we encourage connecting directly to the Livestream webinar via Zoom to make use of the best accessibility features. You can do this by heading to the “Watch Livestream” button at the top of this website’s navigation. From there, click the button to Join Webinar. There will be live captions available for all broadcast sessions.
Interpretation
Interpretation between English and Spanish will be available at most Pavilion events. We recommend viewing the event information for each session to confirm, as some closed events may not be live-streamed, or may not have interpretation.
We regret that most events do not currently have International Sign Language interpretation available, but this may be arranged on an event-by-event basis. Please contact us directly if you wish to attend an event and require Sign Language interpretation.
Further accessibility information will be provided as it is available, including information on the layout of the Pavilion.
If you have any accessibility requirements to participate in Pavilion events, please don’t hesitate to contact Kera Sherwood-O’Regan on kera@sustainedability.org
