Description

The Mbororo Social and Cultural Development Association (MBOSCUDA), a national indigenous peoples’ organization in Cameroon with UN ECOSOC Consultative Status and Observer Status with UNFCCC, has been at the forefront of promoting agroecology and pastoralist-based climate resilience. Through its Agroecology Fund (AEF) 9th Round Project entitled 'Strengthening Indigenous and Small Food Farmers to Increase Resilience gainst Climate Change through Agroecology Practices and National Advocac. MBOSCUDA successfully advanced a rights-based agroecological transition across Cameroon. This initiative mobilized small farmers, pastoralists, and indigenous communities, contributing to the historic inclusion of Agroecology in Cameroon’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0)—a landmark policy achievement that positions agroecology as a national climate solution.
